Newport School District

Newport School District will conduct a lockdown drill on March 12th, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Local law enforcement, including the Newport Police and Jackson Co. Sheriff’s Department, will be involved. Faculty, staff, and students are aware of this drill, which may last up to an hour. This notice is to inform the community and avoid undue stress. If your child has an appointment or will be arriving late, please plan accordingly as no one will be allowed to enter or leave campus until the drill ends.
