We are excited to announce that Newport Elementary School received a $13,250 check from The PEER Network in recognition of our student's growth on the ATLAS Summative Assessment given last year. This is part of the Summative Student Growth incentive, a program that rewards teachers and school leaders for their roles in helping students improve their scores on the state assessment. We are dedicated as a district to creating an environment of academic excellence, and this reward is a great reflection of the hard work our staff and students put in during the year.

The ATLAS Summative Assessment is a measure of student learning and progress toward meeting state standards. The growth shown by our students demonstrates the dedication to making continuous improvements  This recognition proves that the teaching strategies and systems of support and intervention are working for our students.

We are excited and motivated to make even greater gains this year and look forward to the opportunity for our students to show what they have learned.
