It has come to our attention that there are groups reaching out to local businesses and organizations telling them they are representing Newport School District, Newport High School, or Newport Elementary School. They state that they are doing a fundraiser and if the business or organization chooses to donate they will put their information on either a t-shirt, cups, banners, or other promotional materials and they go to the schools. These groups do not represent the Newport School District. Any fundraising that the district takes part in is done by individuals that work at the school, students involved in those activities, or possibly the booster club. If you are contacted by one of these groups please contact the school first and we can tell you if there is a legitimate fundraiser or anything concerning the district going on at that particular time.
