J.E.T. Program (Junior Entrepreneurs in Training)
Newport School District | Commute to Newport | Grade Levels: 7th, 8th, 9th
"JET: Junior Entrepreneurs in Training" is a one-week summer day program in June 2023 developed for students entering 7th through 9th grade who are interested in computer science, engineering, math and entrepreneurship. Students will formulate a business plan, purchase supplies with an invented currency, build a prototype and create print/ radio advertisements. All of these activities will lead up to pitching their product to a group of stakeholders in the area of commerce and business development. This hands-on camp will be held at Newport High School and is a great opportunity for future entrepreneurs.
