Newport Elementary Students are competing in a READING challenge for Read Across America Week, February 27th-March 3rd. NES will compete against schools in different counties. The school who has the most hashtags at the end of the week will house the trophy until the next school year. Students will post their photo completing the daily challenge with the hashtag #proudhoundsread23

Mrs. Hardin has contacted other schools (Tuckerman, White County Central, Harrisburg, and Cedar Ridge) for a friendly reading competition.
Rules:
Students will complete the reading challenge for the day.
In order for the vote to count you MUST post the photo of your student completing the reading challenge to Facebook or Instagram with #proudhoundsread23.
The more books you read and post, the more entries your school will receive.
On Friday, March 3rd, at 3:30 p.m. the contest ends. Winner will be announced on school websites and social media on March 6th.
The school that wins with the most hashtags will host the READING trophy until the next school year.
